poopie sick & the arts

i've been feeling poopie sick this past weekend and i'm very tired of it. of course, i've thoroughly enjoyed the ability to lounge for hours on the couch and take exceedingly long hot showers.

that aside, i'm psyched about this coming week b/c there's a prophetic arts conference over the next few days. there's a 12 yr old gal named akiane (sp??) that apparently paints some very heavenly inspired pieces. john paul jackson will be here as well. we can volunteer for non school hours to help @ the conference. i will be working 2 shifts. i love the fact, though, that most guest speakers always try hard to speak to us here @ the school even if they don't make it for sunday service. it's sort of cool to be a priority in that respect. so we get john paul one day and then akiane on the other.

and, on a similiar note, check out a few of my paintings i've done. the diamond was the first piece i've painted since i was about 10. the wave was the second and the angel wing was the third. i've done a few more, but they're really hard to photograph b/c i love using the metallic paints. so what do you think????

missions & 2nd year

if you don't already know, i'm applying to 2nd year. isn't that exciting????? also, bethel has a 2 week chunk of time set aside especially for missions. i am going to tecate, mexico along w/ about 75 other students. i'm psyched b/c i've only been out the country once on a mission trip when i was in 7th grade. i expect this will be far more interesting as everything is more fun w/ the supernatural power of god in the mix! dates are april 6-12.

trunk show @ the end of this month

i'm very excited to announce that i recently sold 6 of my favorite pieces of jewelry to a shop here in town called monica's! on top of that, monica is hosting a trunk show for me @ the end of this month, specifically friday, february 29th)!

please pray for me as jewelry is my primary source of income right now and i'd like for all of my current inventory to sell.

updates

the point of this blog is to keep everyone up to date w/ photos and tidbits as it's been quite hard w/ so many of you not having myspace. up until now, that's been the only way that i've known to show off all the current photos, but now since i've got this baby up and running... i'm going to keep it up to date w/ regular updates about life here in cali.

for starters, check out the slideshow to the left. it's a medley of friends here as well as those back home in big d. there is a separate slideshow specifically for my jewelry, which is constantly being changed up.
